Dragana was the official photographer for CARIBANA 99',01',03' and 04'.
Caribana in 2004 was a huge success. Dragana has covered 6 of their major events, including the Parade as their official photographer. She was so impressed with the all the people who participated, especially the volunteers who love to embrace their rich cultural traditions by joining forces and celebrating in style so that the whole world knows what CARIBANA represents. It has become so popular over the years because of the original concept and a common tradition which all the Caribbean islands have, Carnival.

"It all started back in 1967, when a small band from Trinidad and Tobago played in a abandoned fire hall in Toronto and now this event generates more then $ 300 million annualy for the greater Toronto area. I expect that for the most revellers, Caribana is more than the parade. The important events that take place prior to the final long parade are usually in June and July every year and they include: Canadian Soca Monarch, Pan Trinbago Panorama, Canadian Calypso Monarch, Junior Parade, Calypso Queen & Young Monarch, King and Queen Extravaganza, A taste of Caribana-Masquarade Ball, Arts&Cultural Festival and more.

The activities are very well organized thanks to about 500 volunteers, small staff at the CCC as well as regular sponsors such as CTV, Royal Bank, Western Union, CFRB and to name a few."
